The 1st International e-Conference -(iCiAsT-2020) on “Innovative Approaches in Agriculture, Applied Sciences and Technologies” under the theme of “Importance of Biodiversity and Bioresources in the Post COVID Era” during 14-15th December 2020
14–15 December 2020
Join virtually with free registration
Vision: Open network to protect and sustainably use biodiversity and bioresources in Asia
Scope: Biodiversity and bioresources underpin both current and future human health, well-being and economic prosperity. However, these are currently being destroyed at an unprecedented and accelerating rate, with more than 25 percent of all plants, animals and microorganisms threatened with extinction. Therefore, it is critical that countries integrate biodiversity considerations into their COVID-19 response and economic recovery plans.
Protecting biodiversity is vital to avoid the next pandemic. Close to three-quarters of emerging infectious diseases in humans emanate from other animals. Land-use change and wildlife exploitation increase the risk of infectious diseases, with the increasing proximity of people and domestic animals to pathogen-carrying wildlife, and by disrupting the ecological processes that keep diseases in check.
You are invited to join us virtually, through December 14-15 of 2020, for an excellent opportunity to discuss exciting biodiversity, bioresources related topics and new technologies and approaches.
The symposium on Importance of Biodiversity and Bioresources in the Post COVID Era will focus on biodiversity and bioresource management, plant, animal and microbial biodiversity, species biodiversity, marine biodiversity, climate change biodiversity, sustainable development, forest biodiversity, agriculture biodiversity and ecosystem management. The iCiAsT-2020 aims to cover different areas, including but not restricted to; modern approaches in conservation, implications of biodiversity for medical research, effects of climate changes on bioresources, applications of microbial biodiversity, agricultural value and sustainable management in relation to loss of biodiversity and bioresources.
The symposium is organized by the Faculty of Science, Kasetsart University, Thailand; The Genetics Society of Thailand (GST); and Scientific and Educational Research Society (SERS), Meerut, India
